What You Need to Know About THE WALKING DEAD’S Ezekiel and More TV News

Negan has arrived to The Walking Dead, but he’s not the only new and intriguing character to make an entrance. The most recent episode brought in King Ezekiel. Learn about him in today’s TV-Cap and also: find out who’s playing Talia al Ghul in Arrow, get info on Netflix possibly letting users download content, and more.

Hail the King. If you’re into The Walking Dead, okay with some spoilers, and curious about all of this King Ezekiel, Shiva (Ezekiel’s tiger), and the Kingdom business, fear not. Dan breaks it all down in The Dan Cave, from Ezekiel’s first appearance in the comics to his recent introduction in the AMC TV show. Watch and learn, friends. [Nerdist]

A Last Ride. Netflix saved Longmire from cancellation, picking it up for new episodes after A&E dropped the crime western after three seasons. However, after a few more seasons of life, they’re only getting one more ride because Netflix has renewed the show for its sixth and final season. Longmire’s last season will debut in 2017. [TVLine]

Could It Be? I don’t know about you, but I really wish I could download some of my queue on Netflix and watch it on long flights and road trips. I’d make so much progress on my to-watch list! Maybe one day I’ll be able to do so because Netflix is considering letting users download content for offline viewing. Of course, the option probably won’t be offered to places that have reliable internet access, so I shouldn’t get my hopes up. What does it all mean? Matthew has all the info here.

Yeah, I Know. Networks are looking at any and every film for TV series inspiration, and if you were curious about how deep into catalog they’re going, this tidbit will answer your question. Showtime has a TV remake of the 1980 film American Gigolo in development from Paramount TV and Jerry Bruckheimer Television. The companies have apparently been working on the series for about two years. Huh. [Variety]

Now This Is Strange. The ’70s were full of so many gifts, and the decade’s bounty included a pilot for Dr. Strange–well, it was technically a made for TV movie but also sort of a pilot. Starring Peter Hooten as Stephen Strange, it’s all about the camp. But is it a delicious camp? Watch the trailer above and then read Scott’s thoughts here at Nerdist and decide whether you want to track it down.

Twin Peaks Studying. The return of Twin Peaks to television is still a bit in the future, but fans can sink their teeth into Mark Frost’s The Secret History of Twin Peaks right now. It collects documents from the Archivist and is all about the mystery. Read Eric’s review here at Nerdist.

Another al Ghul. Is the Arrow cast complete without multiple members of the al Ghul family? No, no it is not. They’re rounding out their roster in season five and adding Talia al Ghul in a recurring role. The half-sister of Nyssa will be played by Lexa Doig. [CBR]

Recap Corner. Where there are new episodes of television, there are recaps. We have what you need to know about Wednesday’s Arrow and American Horror Story: Roanoke. We also have another Game of Thrones Re-Throned for you to enjoy.

Warning: Spoilers follow for the most recent The Flash.

“Faking It” Wells. This week’s episode of The Flash revealed the new Earth-19 Harrison Wells isn’t everything he pretended to be in his job application. He’s actually a novelist, not a scientist. Whoops. Our very own Sydney happened to be on set recently and talked to the cast about that twist as well as Caitlin’s powers. Read their comments right this way.
