The Trailer for Syfy’s 400 DAYS Will Make You Question Reality

Where does an experiment end and reality begin? To what lengths will someone go to ensure the success of an experiment? Can Dane Cook pull off a serious role? Basically, get ready to question everything.

400 Days is an upcoming independent science fiction film that aims to make it’s mark as a psychological thriller in space–only without the space (we think). Syfy Films describes it as “…a psychological sci-fi film centering on four astronauts who are sent on a simulated mission to a distant planet to test the psychological effects of deep space travel.”  Not unheard of for a sci-fi premise but after watching the trailer, it definitely piques our interest.

The astronauts, played by Brandon Routh (Superman Returns), Dane Cook, Caity Lotz (Arrow) and Ben Feldman (As Above, So Below) are subjected to said deep space travel experiment. Apparently locked in an underground bunker and cut off from the outside world, things eventually go as bad as one would expect in a psychological thriller.Hallucinations appear to plague the entire crew and they begin to question the motives of the mission itself and each other. The lines of reality become blurred when they venture out after–you guessed it–400 days and find a world drastically changed. Is it still part of the experiment? Was the “deep space simulation” all just a cover?

The film looks like it will be part Moon and part Event Horizon, and rounded out by Tom Cavanagh (The Flash), Grant Bowler (Defiance) and whoever the hell this awesome guy is toward the end of the trailer.

400 Days is set for a release date of January 12, 2016, and we can’t wait!
