In regards to Demetri’s comment about hot plates at restaurants:
Plates at any restaurant above shitty diners (and even some shitty diners) are usually kept under warmers so the plates stay hot and keep the food warm when it hits the plate. A hot plate does not mean your food has just been sitting.
