I’m a few episodes behind so I don’t know if you came back to this already but…

hunting bear is slang for looking for cops. smokey or smokey bear was c.b. slang that meant highway patrolmen because they wore hats like smokey the bear.

rockin’ chair is c.b. slang for being in the middle of a convoy. the first truck is called the front door and the last tuck is called the back door. it was the doors job to keep an eye out for police while everyone broke the speed limit.

you had it mostly right, c.b. savage was a law abiding trucker that uses the effeminate voice to distract the convoy long enough for the patrolmen to catch them speeding.

  2. Heeeeey.
    german fan here.
I believe the country song is actually meant to be homophobic : The police use the stereotype of “the” gay man to attact the two gay truckers and then arrests them – of course for speeding, but if think about how the police caught the truckers and why they went essecially after those two, they are probably arrested for beeing gay – or even worse. Does that make sense? Then the real title could be “faggot police”
    great show anyway!
