Randy and Jason Sklar, friends of Nerdist, comedians, sports aficionados, and hosts of the Sklarbro Country podcast, are back on TV in a new series for the History Channel, and it appears to be right in our nerd-centric wheelhouse. It’s called United Stats of America, and that’s not a typo: The show is all about statistics, the kind that reveal a lot about America and Americans. They’ll be traveling around the country, engaging in stunts and experiments, and helping viewers make sense of a flood of interesting information, from the deadliest animal in America (it’s not what you think) to population density and traffic (well, that IS what you think). And, of course, as identical twins, they ARE a statistic.
So you will want to watch this thing, and, starting tonight (Tuesday), you can. It’s debuting at 10/9c on the History Channel, with the first episode all about the things that are most likely to kill us, so you might want to take notes, too. I’ll be watching to see if they do an in-depth report on the Phillies’ OPS, because that’s a stat that’s been driving me crazy lately.
Thank you so much for making sure we all knew about it! I loved watching it last night and can’t wait for more 😀
Wow something from the “History” Channel that isn’t about aliens or pawn stores. Amazing!
Yay, History Channel/Sklars! Relevant AND funny programming! Huzzah!
