The Simpsons Get a MAC Makeover for One Day Only at Comic-Con

Fans of The Simpsons and beauty products will likely be all atwitter once Comic-Con International rolls around, because M·A·C Cosmetics announced today that the Springfield family — in particular matriarch Marge Simpson — will take center stage in their latest pop culture collaboration. Yes, that’s right: Marge is getting her own makeup line.

While fans of cosmetics will have to wait until September 4th — or August 28th if you use the Internet, and well, I mean: duh — the collection will be sold exclusively for one single, solitary day during the San Diego Comic-Con madness. Namely on Saturday, July 26th. The cosmetics company has a store located oh-so-conveniently close to the con, in the Gaslamp district. (Actual location for all those curious and/or willing to brave leaving the convention floor: 234 Fifth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92191.)

But what’s also super exciting is that fans who head to the store are also invited to receive a Marge-inspired makeover using the ten-piece collection. This would be perfect for any of you Marge Simpson cosplayers looking for a touch-up, so just keep that in mind.

And because no announcement of something involving a comedy brand would be complete without a bit of silliness, M·A·C even got a quote about the whole to-do from Marge Simpson herself regarding her favorite pieces. “They’re all so great,” the not-at-all real woman explained of the color palette choices. “But I must say that Lisa’s Spikes really works well with my skin tone and of course, Beehive Blue complements my hair perfectly.”

Still no word on who’s going to finally make Homer’s makeup gun dreams a reality, though.

So, who’s picking up some new make-up while at Comic-Con? Let us know in the comments.
