THE SHINING Funko Pop!s Are Terrifyingly Adorable

Heeeeeeeeeere’s Johnny!”

For years now, the fine folks at Funko have been making adorable vinyl figures out of certain pop culture properties that are strictly for grown-ups, including horror movies like The Exorcist, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, and many, many more.

Now the big daddy of all horror flicks is joining the Funko family as Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation of Stephen King’s classic The Shining is getting its first wave of Pop! vinyls this summer, as just announced on the Funko blog.

All members of the Torrance family are included here. We’ve got our frustrated writer/caretaker of the Overlook Hotel/ax murderer Jack Torrance, played by the legendary Jack Nicholson, with his bloody axe. There’s also his wife Wendy, with her knife in hand ready to defend herself against her insane husband, along with little Danny Torrance, also with his own knife to defend against Daddy. There will also be a chase figure of Jack, all frozen up from the final scene in the film, a 1-in-6 rarity.

As a nice little touch, and a reason to possibly not take these figures out of their boxes once you get them, the clear plastic packaging has the words “Redrum” written in red crayon on the front of each one. Now, hopefully if there is ever a wave two for The Shining, we can get the Grady girls in their matching outfits. And maybe even that weird guy in the dog suit towards the end of the movie.

Ok, ok…maybe that second one is a long shot.

All four The Shining Funko Pop! figures will hit this August. You can check them all out down below.

Are you excited that this horror classic is finally getting the Funko love? Be sure to let us know down below in the comments.
