It’s a slow week for Blu-rays, so how about this week we talk about a must-have preorder and give away two Blu-ray copies of Taken 2?

Bryan Mills pissed off some bad people when he beat the life out of half the thugs in Paris looking for his daughter in Taken. Well, now it’s a familial affair, as the “family” of the deceased gangsters come looking for Mill’s closest relations. Liam Neeson is once again the stoic badass we’ve come to know and love in these action dramas… dractions? Actramas? Whatever the sub-genre, watching these actors play these characters in this situation is fun, so why not do it again?
Worried that it’s all Taken and no giving? Want to take home a copy of Taken 2 on Blu-ray? Just go to our Taken 2 Blu-ray giveaway page (funny how that works) and enter your email address for a chance to win one of two Blu-ray copies of Taken 2. (Entering the contest will sign you up for the free Nerdist News email newsletter and you’ll get a heads up on all the cool things happening in the nerd world.)
Pre-Orders:
This is going to be the must-own Blu-ray of 2013. I plan on getting two just in case my first one gets wrecked somehow. The adventures of Ralph as he jumps between games trying to find his place in the video game world was one of the best films of last year. The 3D Blu-ray combo pack is going to be available on March 5th and will have a bonus feature on the creation of the game worlds, 4 alternate and deleted scenes with introduction by Rich Moore, and the parody video game commercials that circulated during the theatrical release. Also included as a Blu-ray exclusive feature will be Disney Intermission: The Gamer’s Guide to Wreck-It Ralph, guiding viewers through the video game in-jokes and references from the film whenever the movie is paused. Oh, and the Disney Intermission segments are hosted by none other than our own Chris Hardwick. (Not jealous of my boss at all right now. It’s fine, I still look good in my Fix-It Felix costume) Also included on the both DVD and Blu-ray is the most romantic movie of the year, the short Paperman. What’s that, you say? March 4th is too far away? Well, for the first time ever, Disney is embracing pre-release digital streaming. The HD Digital and HD Digital 3D presentations will be available to own on February 12 on Amazon, Vudu, iTunes and VOD. The clock is counting down, and I can’t wait to hit continue.
