Rick and Morty fans, are you having withdrawals from the series? The third season is supposed to come out later this year, but to help make the long wait bearable, weâve got something schwifty for you!
Eric Calderone (a.k.a. Erock) has dropped a terrific metal cover of the Rick and Morty theme. Ryan Elderâs music really lends itself to this treatment, and you can definitely hear that Doctor Who influence in his theme.
We have to assume that there are people who havenât yet discovered the joys of Rick and Morty. So for those of you who havenât seen the series, itâs about a mad scientist named Rick and the crazy adventures that he shares with his grandson, Morty. Series creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon have turned it into one of the wildest sci-fi comedies that weâve ever seen.
If Calderone is so inclined, there are other musical pieces from this show that deserve the metal treatment as well. In particular, Rick and Mortyâs âGet Schwiftyâ should be the next song in line, because its catchy riff saved the Earth from being destroyed during an intergalactic reality show. What do you say, Erock? Show me what you got!
Calderoneâs metal covers are greatly enjoyed by our team. Weâve recently featured his takes on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Guileâs theme from Street Fighter II. You can find more of Calderoneâs music at Metalyze.com or his frequently updated YouTube channel.
