The Red Band Trailer for Ti West’s THE SACRAMENT Has Arrived

This week the red band trailer for the Eli Roth-produced horror flick The Sacrament hit the web. Directed by Ti West (House of the Devil, The Innkeepers), The Sacrament “follows a group of journalists shooting a doc about a man’s attempt to locate his missing sister. They find her in a rural cult preparing for a mass suicide.”

I was able to check out the film at AFI Fest last fall and fans of West’s previous work will likely be impressed. The Sacrament stars AJ Bowen and Joe Swanberg and will be released on VOD and iTunes on May 1. It begins a theatrical run on June 6, 2014.

  1. Ken M.C. says:

can’t wait! just put “the house of the devil” on my netflix queue

  2. Skullbuddy says:

Hardly original though. Strikes me as a direct rip of the Guyana Tragedy/Jim Jones/Drink the Kool Aid affair. Lead dude playing the preacher/cult leader even looks like Jones. This isn’t to say that it might not be good but still.

  3. I’m not really that fond of found footage. But after House of the Devil and the Innkeepers, anything Ti West does is instant viewing for me. Plus with Roth involved this should get a wide release, which makes me happy.

  4. Chris says:

Boring. Just the latest installment of “everyone dies in the end” horror.

  5. ColinJ says:

Ti West is brilliant. If you’re one of those people who calls HOUSE OF THE DEVIL ‘boring’ we can’t be friends.

  6. john1schn says:

    Very Jim Jones.
