THE PUNISHER’s New Trailer Shows an Intense Journey for Frank Castle

The Punisher‘s road to revenge is less than a month away, and it’s once again a deeply personal journey for Frank Castle. Netflix has dropped the second trailer for The Punisher, which reestablishes Castle’s military ties and recasts him as both the hunter and the hunted. The men who murdered Castle’s family are still alive, but probably not for long.

The TV series has updated Castle’s origin story and it will apparently explore some of his time in the Marines. More intriguingly, the trailer hints at a deeper conspiracy that goes far beyond “the Blacksmith,” Castle’s former commanding officer, whom he murdered in the penultimate episode of Daredevil season two. Castle’s enemies are also aware that he’s alive, and they may have realized that Karen Page is one of the few individuals whom Castle still cares about. And as we can see in the new footage, Karen’s association with Frank will once again put both of them in danger.

Micro also gets a more through introduction in the latest trailer, as we see him actually throw a punch at Castle. However, the video also establishes Micro’s willingness to team up with Castle because his family has been targeted as well. Their partnership is a marriage of convenience that didn’t end well in the comics. But we’re eager to see it play out on screen.

The Punisher‘s first season will premiere on Friday, November 17 on Netflix. And that just happens to be the same day that the Justice League hits theaters. Looks like there’s going to be a comic book showdown that weekend!
