The Punisher and Elektra Arrive in New DAREDEVIL Season 2 Trailer!

“Hell’s Kitchen is about to explode,” thanks to the arrival of Frank Castle, the man better known as the Punisher! Marvel TV and Netflix have unveiled the first full length trailer for Daredevil season 2, and it puts a heavy emphasis on Castle as he takes out criminal targets with uncanny precision. The loss of Castle’s family is also alluded to, as Castle goes over his weapons and ammo.

Naturally, Matt Murdock a.k.a. Daredevil (Charlie Cox) blames himself for the turn of events that led the Punisher to bring his brand of destruction into Hell’s Kitchen. Even Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) seem to agree with that assessment, although Karen appears to feel responsible for Castle as well.

This will be the first time that Daredevil and the Punisher have squared off in live-action, and the trailer cuts to several fights between them. You may also notice that Daredevil’s mask is damaged in several scenes, and the Punisher appears to be more than a match for the hero of Hell’s Kitchen.

And just when you think that the trailer has forgotten her, Élodie Yung makes her debut as Elektra, Matt’s former girlfriend turned international assassin. But we see so little of Elektra in the trailer that her role in the conflict between Daredevil and the Punisher is unclear.

A second Daredevil season 2 trailer is scheduled to be released on February 25, and it will probably shed some light on Elektra’s story. All 13 episodes of Daredevil season 2 will hit Netflix on Friday, March 18.
