The PS4 Could Finally Be Getting a Price Cut in The U.S., According to Target Ad

It seems like the PS4 will soon be available for less than its current $399.99 price tag. According to a Target ad for the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection PS4 bundle, Sony’s extremely successful console will soon be available for $50 cheaper than what it currently goes for. More importantly, the promotion states it’s a price cut, and not just a limited sale. Sony has not made this news official, so even though this almost seems inevitable, we still have to take the news with a grain of salt. Both the Paris Game Show and PlayStation Experience provide a perfect stage to make this official. Though, you’d also think Sony would want to make the announcement prior to Black Friday, so if it is an official price cut, it will probably be sooner rather than later.

A price drop has already been implemented in Japan, so many, including Phil Spencer, have believed the PS4 would soon be sold at cheaper price point here in the West.

$349.99 is a great way to stay competitive this coming holiday season, especially since their direct competitor, Microsoft, is rolling out some massive exclusives. Many have predicted that Halo 5: Guardians and Rise of the Tomb Raider will make the Xbox One the most successful console in the upcoming months, but Sony is playing the situation really well. The company is showing their savviness by countering their lack of AAA exclusives with shiny new limited edition consoles that are bundled in with some of the largest third-party titles this year. Making their machine cheaper will make it even more competitive. If there is something parents love to do when purchasing holiday gifts for their children, it’s saving some cash in the process.

You can currently, nab almost every PS4 bundle at Target and get a $50 gift card.

If you have yet to purchase the console, will this persuade you to get one? How soon do you think this price drop will come to fruition? Let us know in the comments section below.
