The trailer for the new Bill Murray Christmas special is so charming and full of absolute joy, I can hardly wait any longer for it to premiere.

The Netflix special, A Very Murray Christmas, is basically everything you’d want in a Christmas special, and really, everything you’d want in life. It’s really a movie about trying to make a Christmas special, for those of you that like your holiday with a dose of meta-merry goodness.

Here’s the synopsis from Netflix:

This winter, Bill Murray brings an extra-special dose of holiday cheer to Netflix with the premiere of an all-star musically driven holiday special, A Very Murray Christmas. Set inside New York City’s iconic Carlyle hotel, A Very Murray Christmas opens with Murray preparing to host a live, international holiday broadcast. After a blizzard shuts down the production, he makes the best of the situation by singing and celebrating with friends, hotel employees and anyone else who drops by.

The cast has enough star power to light up the Rockefeller Christmas tree. Besides 100-percent-approval-rating Bill Murray, the show will feature Chris Rock, Amy Poehler, Miley Cyrus, Michael Cera, Maya Rudolph, Rashida Jones, Jason Schwartzman, and lesser-known actor George Clooney.

Bill Murray already starred in one of the greatest Christmas movies ever (I won’t argue this), Scrooged, so we’ll be happy to welcome him into our homes every holiday season twice for the rest of our lives.

A Very Murray Christmas is available for streaming on December 4 and is directed by Sophia Coppola, who directed Murray in Lost in Translation.
