While most people were baffled by Lifetime’s A Deadly Adoption starring Will Ferrell and Kristin Wiig because the joke was that it wasn’t a joke, everybody can see that HBO’s sports mockumentary, 7 Days in Hell, has got its serious pants on for the purposes of silliness. And while we’ve seen teasers and pictures of it before, we now get the chance to see a full trailer for the spoof, which looks like a mix between Best in Show and an ESPN 30 for 30.

Andy Samberg plays Aaron Williams, the result of a “reverse-Blind Side” where Serena and Venus Williams’ father decided to take in a white kid and teach him tennis. He’s “the bad boy of the tennis world” and has had numerous run-ins and incidents that brought shame to the sport. Kit Harington plays Charles Poole, a proper English gentleman who’s also a complete idiot and doesn’t understand anything, even common phrases and ideas. Together, they played a tennis match in 2004 for seven straight, mind-numbing, absurd days. THIS is the story of that week.

What makes this look extra hilarious is just how over-the-top and absurd everything is (especially the unfortunate fault toward the end of the trailer) and how straight everybody plays it. It’s always great when you mix in comedians playing characters with real people playing themselves. And June Squibb as the bird-flipping Queen of England? I mean, come on. I’m especially excited to see Harington play something completely different to his Game of Thrones character. Maybe he was born to play dunderheaded sports figures!

7 Days in Hell will premiere on HBO Saturday July 11th and on HBO Go and HBO Now beginning July 8th.
