The Nerdist School to Hold Its First Women in Comedy Panel

Los Angeles improv fans, lend us your ears. The Nerdist School, the newest addition to the Nerdist family, is holding its first ever Women in Comedy Panel this Saturday, June 20th, at 10 am. Panel speakers include Monika Smith (Two and a Half Men), Diona Reasonover (Clipped), Jess Eason (The Real Housewives of South Boston), Jenn Curran (Harvard Sailing Team), and Mo Welch (Typecast). The panel will focus on the basics of getting started in the field, providing tips and tricks AND a half hour free improv session at the end. The goal is to help funny women all over LA get their foot in the door, hone their skills to improve their craft, and just work on basic confidence in the comedy world.

The Nerdist School, which offers a multitude of improv, sketch, and acting classes, live comedy shows, and workshops, is growing more and more every day. Though it’s been in operation for just over a year, it has already opened its doors to comedians and performers of all backgrounds, and has made a commitment to be inclusive of all women, minorities, and LGBT individuals. For anyone who is looking to dip their toes in the comedy world, this panel will not just be a wealth of insider information, but also an exciting step forward in building a more diverse comedy community!

The Women in Comedy Panel will be held on June 20th at 10 am and is free for all attendees. For more information on the panel and upcoming classes and workshops, check out the official Nerdist School website right here right MEOW.

The Nerdist School is located at 7518 Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles, CA.
