Gauntlet Hair: a little Animal Collective, a pinch of shoegaze, and a dollop of reverb. There is nothing wrong with a simple recipe though (especially if the ingredients are super arcane but fucking awesome).

“Keep Time” is the first track off of the Colorado duo’s debut effort and it makes me enter the jiggle zone (also referred to as dancing for those of you that are coordinated). The song has two very distinct parts, and while I personally favor the indie-rock swagger of the first half of the song, there is something really intriguing about the track’s raucous breakdown. Somehow, the song leaves you with a bitter aftertaste, but you can’t help going back for more.
