The Muppets Rap Eminem’s ‘My Name Is’ Flawlessly

There’s no denying that The Muppets are the cutest felt puppets around, but they’re also some of the hardest rappers to ever touch a microphone. After their Beastie Boys cover, the Muppets are at it again, this time rapping along to the Eminem classic, “My Name Is”.

Adam Schleichkorn, a.k.a. Mylo the Cat, is responsible for making this glorious thing happen, and it might be the best of the Muppet mashups thus far. Kermit as Dr. Dre is great, but Scooter as Eminem is ludicrously funny. Seeing a puppet utter the words, “Wanna see me stick nine inch nails through each one of my eyelids” is weirdly fascinating, and kinda even makes your skin crawl. By the end of the video, you can’t help but feel threatened by Scooter, one of the dorkiest (read: greatest) Muppets.

It takes an endless amount of patience to cut one of these together and make it look halfway decent. Schleichkorn’s been YouTubing for almost a decade now, and he’s got his skills down. Check out his YouTube channel (appropriately titled, “is this how you go viral”), and don’t miss the Robin Thicke “Blurred Lines” Muppets parody. There are also many other Muppet-related videos to help get your groove on.

What did you think of the Eminem/Muppets mash-up? Did it inject a sufficient amount of humor into your evening? What other classic rap tracks do you want to see the Muppets cover? Reach out on Twitter, or sound off in the comments below.
