The Most Famous Car in Hollywood

93 Accord HeadshotA few years ago, I sold my favorite car: a 93 Honda Accord.  I hated selling him—not only because he was the “Black Pearl” of the Fourth Generation of Accords, but because he happens to be one of the most famous cars in America.  I mean it: YOU ARE ABOUT TO BE AMAZED by all the times you’ve seen him in movies and TV shows and didn’t realize you were looking at my ’93 Honda Accord.

Here are screen captures from some of his greater moments on the screen (in no particular order other than comedic heightening):

He got his start in Universal Studios’s KNIGHT RIDER stunt show!93 Accord (Knight Rider)

Moving up, he was featured in this, the re-release of the classic BEN HUR!

Here he is in his first leading role opposite Tobey Maguire in SPIDERMAN!93 Accord (Spiderman)

His agent at AAA landed him this role in the original x-MEN! (So serious!)
93 Accord (Xmen)

He’s only in it for a minute, but what a minute to have on your demo reel: in Peter Jackson’s KING KONG!
93 Accord (King Kong)

This one’s exciting.  I could not believe he actually got screen time right next to Tom Hanks in the DA VINCI CODE!
93 Accord (DaVinci Code)

He’s the only Honda Accord that can list LORD OF THE RINGS on his IMDB page (playing two different roles: ONE GOOD…
93 Accord (LOTR Fellowship)
…and ONE EVIL!
93 Accord (LOTR Ring Wraiths)

He was so good in Fellowship, they brought him back for THE TWO TOWERS!
93 Accord (LOTR Helms Deep)

This one, he wouldn’t shut up about for weeks, seeing as how SOUTH PARK is his favorite show.

And most recently, look at him showing off here, racing down the streets in last year’s FAST AND FURIOUS 4! (I didn’t even know he could drive!)
93 Accord (Fast & Furious)
I see him around town sometimes, but only on billboards and bus ads—never out on the road.  (I hear he only takes cabs now.)  If you see him, tell him his old manager Mike says “Hey!”

You just cant keep’em down on the farm once they’ve seen the bright lights of the city….Glad to see he’s made a real name for himself out there in the hollywood car-eat-car world. You must be soooo proud. *sniff, lip trembles… wipes tear* :o)

  4. BCDarr says:

I gotta be honest. He looks younger than a ’93. Did he have work done? Sure looks like a Brazilian Bumper Lift in the LOTR pic.

  5. Zane LeBert says:

I didn’t know Lisa del Giocondo owned a 93 Honda Accord. FUN FACT – If you could pan a little more to the right on the Mona Lisa, turns out that’s when 93H.A. was leading The Fellowship through Middle Earth…

  6. This made my damn day. I wish these were real xD

  7. Hey, do you think he would do “The Neverhood Show”? I’ll bump Justin Beib for him!!!! Let him know ‘eh, My people will call his people, maybe we can do Oil Can Henrys? -Ethan Tudor W.

  8. Joshua McGee says:

Lord of the Rings makes sense. Hondas are wasted over short distances.

  9. glass says:

    Epic and awesome.

  10. Dan says:

Did your car ever do nudity?

  11. Michael says:

I really miss my Honda, I had a 96 Civic but it was stolen and recovered 3 times in 18 months. I had to get a Ford as a replacement when it was finally totaled.

  12. I KNEW my ex was lying to me about that Lord of the Rings gig. Damnit! That’s the last time I listen to anything those good for nothin’ Accords have to say.

  13. Michael says:

The fellowship walks up a hill with this black ’93 Honda Accord pulling up the rear…maybe they kept their Dwarf liquor in his trunk.

  14. Patti says:

I’m sorry you had to sell such a legendary car, Mike. Thanks for sharing the pics!

  15. Lisa Gardner says:

i used to have a 92 accord coupe. It was a great car, until I crashed into the back of a semi on the 10 > 405n inter change….sniff sniff…it had the perfect hidden coin cubby. I miss that car….

  17. sweetsocks mcgee says:

It’s a good thing he started with a speaking role so he at least got paid scale.

  18. Chris Hardwick says:

I love those old Hollywood glamor shots.
