THE MAGICIANS Head to Fillory and Further Trouble in Season 2 (Exclusive)

When a bunch of gods and kings and queens and beasts tell you things are about to get insane, believe them. It’s this exact sort of situation that has us totally pumped for the second season of Syfy’s The Magicians. The Beast has proved that what happens in Fillory clearly doesn’t stay in Fillory, but in Quentin and Co.’s quest to take down the ultimate baddie, poised to overtake their realm and ours, will our favorite Brakebillians get trapped inside of Fillory forever? And even if they get out, will they leave the magical realm with their friendships intact? Based on the exclusive video we have for you above, we’re not so sure. Looks like we’ve got a real war of the magical beings on our hands, y’all.

We’ve long made our love of the show known ’round these parts. Its sophomore season opts to make mystical missions, revenge quests, and the claiming of the thrones of Fillory all major parts of the plot. With half of the story woven into the first season (because we all needed more Julia), the televised adaptation of Lev Grossman’s novels takes up much of the plot of the second book in the series, The Magician King, to tell its tale. But with Quentin and Alice on the outs, Julia and Kady out for revenge, Margo and Eliot ruling the roost, and Penny needing more than a hand (sorry), we’re not sure season two is going to be all that happy ending-y.

Season 2 of The Magicians hits Syfy’s airwaves on January 25th, 2017. Are you looking forward to it? Let us know in the comments below!
