The Legacy Music Hour #64: Ninja Games

Ninja Games is the topic of Episode 64.  Brent and Rob select tracks from games like Shinobi, Ninja Gaiden, and The Legend of Kage, and in doing so, discover a very prominent “coming of age” theme throughout.  NOTE: Brent and Rob mispronounce Kage like the English “cage,” when it’s actually the Japanese word for shadow, pronounced “ka-gey.”  ANOTHER NOTE: There was a little bit of a technical problem with this episode and all the vocal stuff has a hiss to it, but fortunately, the music tracks are clean and good to go.  Full track listing below.

So.. ninja games music, without The Last Ninja on the playlist?

    That’s hilarious.

So, did you guys pay for any of their music? Did you import 7th Dragon 2020’s soundtrack to make up for any Koshiro tracks you didn’t/couldn’t pull from http://vgmdb.net/album/14143 Did you credit the people who do rips from .vgm to .2sf files and convert them to mp3s?

Ostensibly, Nerdist is a commercial website, so you probably shouldn’t entice people for your live shows based on playing other people’s work. I don’t want to be accusatory, but since the podcast isn’t for your recreation anymore, I assume that you’ve ticked the correct legal boxes.
