THE LAST UNICORN Hits the E-Shelves

Get excited, fantasy lovers. If you’re anything like me, you grew up reading Peter Beagle‘s classic novel The Last Unicorn. While it is great to curl up with an old copy on the couch as the weather outside grows chillier and you have a great excuse to sit inside with a hot toddy while you read, sometimes you really just want to take one of your favorite books on the road. Obviously, you could pack up your paperbacks and be on your way, but let’s be honest, books are heavy. One of the great benefits of living in an era with e-books is that you can actually travel without breaking your back.

Well, The Last Unicorn is about to be available to all of us with very little luggage space and a fierce desire to read about a unicorn who thinks she’s the last of her kind. The novel, along with its sequels and a number of other rare Peter Beagle short stories, are now available in Kindle format on Amazon. You can grab The Last Unicorn, Mirror Kingdom, A Fine and Private Place, Slight of Hand, and Return can be purchased for varying prices through everyone’s favorite clearing house of a website.

While I’m not usually a real fan of Amazon, I can’t deny that the Kindle and other e-book delivery devices have had an impact on the number of people who read regularly and passionately. I also love to see old classics hit the e-book market so that new readers can find them, fall in love with them, and hopefully become life long readers as a result of them. So please, head over to Amazon and grab your digital copies of The Last Unicorn and more for your autumn reading pleasure.
