    ‘necessity’? Come on. Would blacking up be a necessity if funny black people were rare? Surely if they’d really wanted women in the troupe they would have managed to get ’em? They found this girl, and she’s pretty damn funny. Isn’t it more that drag is an obvious visual gag, and these performers wanted to perform their own material, like the Pythons?

    I am really enjoying these, grew up watching this show when Comedy Central aired them in the afternoon and it’s great to see them talking about their work.
