“Basically getting therapy for free”. Great one sentence description of the show!

  2. Scott B. says:

The name of that Barbra Streisand/Ryan O’Neal movie is “What’s Up Doc”!! That was 1 of the funniest movies I ever saw as a kid, and it’s still fun!! (The boxing movie they did, not that good.) “What’s Up Doc” also stars Madeline Kahn, Austin Pendelton, and lots of great people!

  3. Emily says:

I knew Abby when she was on fire, seeking Jesus Christ. It saddens me that she has traded her deep, overflowing, radiant love of Christ for a love of self and fame. I will continue to pray for you, Abby, that you will seek a relationship and enjoyment with Jesus. He is waiting with open arms, ready to give you the fulfillment that you so desire.

  4. David Castagna says:

Phenominal episode Janet and Abigail. I was moved and inspired exactly as you say at the end of the episode. One of your best podcasts! Don’t ever stop what you’re doing. I learn so much personally from this project.

  5. Curtis says:

It’s not bad that when I realized who Abigail is I went “HEY! It’s Blahblah!”, right? I’m behind on Mad Men, gimme a break.

That being said, I loved the story about her dad. Honestly, if I were to go out doing something I love on a perfect day after getting to tell my loved ones that they are, in fact, loved then I would be happy. It sounds like her dad really made a difference to the people around him and we’re lucky that she shared that story with us. Cheers!

  6. Alec says:

Abigail’s comments about people you love influencing others in ways you couldn’t have even imagined was really touching. We all want to look back fondly at the people we’ve lost, but how amazing is it to learn that they were even better than you already knew?

Also, earlier today, I passed some paramedic students who were closing up a bake sale. One of them grabbed his bag, threw it over his shoulder, flinched, took it off and pulled out his thermos, now only partly full of coffee. It can happen to the best of us.

i was watching her mad men episode last week & thought how come she’s never been on any of the many podcasts that i listen to

  8. Paul says:

I’m halfway through the episode. Amazing as always.

I was also choking back tears, walking into my office this morning at around the 30 minute mark of the podcast. Luckily I’m growing a beard right now, so I still looked totally manly. 🙂

This podcast is such a gift to all of us that get to listen to it each week.
