The JV Club #141: Cameron Esposito

It’s comedian Cameron Esposito (Put Your Hands Together) and SHE! IS! GREAT! There’s nothing like a story about a medical semi-crisis in a foreign country where you don’t speak the language to get the old podcast blood flowing. But it doesn’t stop there… because who doesn’t love talking to their parents about sex? NOTE: The prior two references are NOT RELATED.

  1. Mee says:

Cameron’s parents ARE great! Sat next to them at her Chicago show in 2014 and her dad said to me, “Sorry [for whooping], that’s our daughter!” So cute.

  2. Monse says:

I’m fascinated / a little scared, for all the bunch of things that you two talk that I feel related to. Mind blowing.  Thanks, it was funny and at the same time incredible interesting all the topics you two talk about.

  3. Hillary says:

Gosh, it was so cool to hear you guys talk about sexuality like that. That’s the kind of stuff that needs to be talked about more casually, and it was great to listen to. Loved the nod to LOK in there too. Korrasami.

  4. Colossus Prime says:

Janet, you were at C2E2 held at McCormick Place. And you were amazing  ðŸ™‚

  5. Amy M. says:

I started laughing when Cameron said she was an advocate of abstinence because yeah, same here. I was president of our abstinence club in HS – and not that there is anything wrong with not having sex, I just realized much later on it was because I wasn’t sexually attracted to any guys and very, very repressed when it came to my desire for other women (I thought I wanted to *be* them, but now I realize I am attracted to other women because I want to be *with* them…okay, and maybe I sometimes wish I could be them, too).

  6. Cora says:

I am learning so much, just 20 minutes in. I have now learned about why Chicago is called the windy city and why/how people go blind. Will I’ll remember those facts? Who knows. The description of the eye surgery had me pulling on my skin hahaha! Anyways, thanks to Cameron for the tid bits of knowledge. Always learning something. And thank you Janet for another great podcast!

  7. Becca says:

love the talk about sexuality, I relate so much – wish I could have heard these kinds of things when I was younger! In my 20’s and just figuring this stuff out 🙂

  8. Christina says:

Listening to Cameron talk about Obvious Child made me so happy!  Everything she said about the movie is so true!  I absolutely loved that movie and it’s nice to see and hear people talk about abortion in a way that recognizes it is a tough decision but it’s not a decision that is going to ruin your life.  Thank you for always making a great podcast!

  9. PJ says:

Hey, I was cross-eyed too! Welcome to the surgical scar on the extraocular muscle club! I didn’t have to do that post surgical adjusting though… But I was scared out of a brilliant career as a surgeon when at 5 years old, the orthoptics lady (not the ophthalmic surgeon), showed me drawings of the surgical procedure I was about to have. Yeah, that freaked me out.

  10. Nikki says:

Edge of Tomorrow was underrated! Emily Blunt was such a wonderful BAMF in that! Love her. She is great in The Young Victoria as well. And totally on board with the Sigourney Weaver love – she is a goddess. Ellen Ripley is my spirit animal.
