I had an identity crisis when my hair grew out and was suddenly too heavy for those little vintage goody clips. I had worn one everyday for years. I turned to the braid and never looked back. The best way to learn a new braid is to sit in your bathroom sink (so you’re super close to the mirror) turn on a podcast and practice until you want to cry. Once you get the french braid down, you can move onto the waterfall braid, which is a personal favorite. Also- is that youtube sensation Beanz Hart in the picture with Joselyn?
Yay for another Chicagoan, it’s so awesome to hear this conversation especially since I go to school at UIC currently! Everything you were talking about is pretty accurate and its good to acknowledge the giant flaw that is violence in the city.I really want to visit San Francisco especially if its like Chicago (will remember to not call it ‘Frisco). Great episode!
