Proving you can animate pretty much anything, here’s a music video largely consisting of stop-motion animation of colored Velcro dots. The video, made by artist/director Mike Cantor and singer/MC Frontalot bassist Brandon Patton for Patton’s song “Freckle,” moves back and forth from the Velcro to live action, using 19,000 Velcro dots in a process Cantor calls “Velcro rotoscoping.”

You can tell this took a lot of work. The result is pretty impressive.
