Pixar’s THE GOOD DINOSAUR Trailer is Giving Us THE LAND BEFORE TIME Feels

If there’s one thing we’ve been waiting for, it’s Pixar tackling dinosaurs. Well, prayers? Meet your answers, because the studio has done just that with their latest animated offering, The Good Dinosaur. And we don’t know about you, but is anyone else getting some seriously teary-eyed The Land Before Time feels?

For those of you unaware as to what this story is all about, allow us to blow your mind with details: The Good Dinosaur is essentially a redrafting of history, told through the eyes of Arlo, a rambunctious and inquisitive lil Apatosaurus who, alongside an unexpected companion (hint: it’s a cavebaby!), embark on a remarkable journey with twists and turns unknown. Don’t tell us anything else, Pixar: you’ve already got all of our money with this one.

The film was directed by Peter Sohn (whom you may know from his work on the truly adorable short, Partly Cloudy), and is slated to hit theaters on November 25th, 2015. Just in time for you to be thankful that an asteroid hit the Earth, wiping out the giant terrestrial vertebrates so that the rest of us might survive and thrive, becoming the dominant animal species.

Not to sound too cruel or anything, it’s just that, well, let’s be logical here: for as much as we all love dinosaurs (and this particular writer has a dinosaur-themed dress in her closet so she feels like a bit of an expert), it would be pretty terrifying if they were still alive outside of movies.
