THE FORCE AWAKENS Cast Sings A Cappella STAR WARS Medley with The Roots

When you see those magical words, “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” you know what’s coming next. Admit it: You probably started humming those opening notes of the Star Wars theme song after reading the words, right? It’s damn near impossible not to do so. Well, you and I may be stuck doing our usual solo performance most times, but when you host the most famous late night talk show in television history, you can get some major assistance in creating your own human orchestra to help you sing all the parts.

On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the host was joined by the show’s house band The Roots and some of the cast of The Force Awakens to sing an a cappella medley of John Williams’ most iconic Star Wars songs.

The newest members of the Star Wars galaxy were most prominently featured, including Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie (who gave the scariest performance — in a good way), and Lupita Nyong’o. A few of our favorite droids —R2-D2, C-3PO, and BB-8 — also lent a “beep,” “bop” or two for one portion. Chewbacca was also there, but it doesn’t seem like he is the singing type. Which is too bad, because I hear wookiees have beautiful voices. Oh, and some people named Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford also helped out. (Never heard of ’em.)

Which cast member was pitch perfect in this a cappella medley? Let us know below.
