THE FLASH Given Full Season Order by The CW

It’s amazing how fast a super hero can go from an obscure, impossible to make happen project to a massive sensation across multiple platforms. It wasn’t too long ago we were all upset over the fact that, after so many years away from the live action realm, there was still no indication Hollywood was interested in exploring a new iteration of DC’s Flash. However, in the last year, that notion’s changed entirely thanks to not only a new television series, but also a confirmed feature film with a lead-actor already attached for the role. But while the DC tentpole blockbuster is still many years away, The CW is doing a heck of a job at keeping our interest in the character of Barry Allen high in their Arrow spin-off, and to prove their commitment, the network just did the one thing they could to overload us with confidence.

As of today, the network has given their latest super-hero drama a full season order for the remainder of the 2014/2015 television year. Given the fact that Flash opened to 6 million viewers (when Nielsen live +3 was factored in), it currently stands as The CW’s most watched series premiere ever. Needless to say, advertisers are very happy for the moment with the 18-49 skewing network.

Considering how highly the cast and crew of the show has been speaking of their upcoming crossover with mothership, Arrow, there’s no doubt this won’t be the last bit of great news to come out of the Flash camp as we head into the thick of the television season. It also stands to reason that if The Flash continues to perform as well as it appears to be, this will not be the last we see of the DC Universe on The CW.

Which DC character would you like to see The CW tackle next for their growing universe? Let us know in the comments below.
