Are you ready for this, Spartans? The inaugural Halo Legendary Crate from Loot Crate and Microsoft is finally reaching the homes of all those who decided to subscribe to the bi-monthly crate, and we got our hands on one. While the contents of the regular crate aren’t as spectacular as those seen in the Halo Mythic Crate (a.k.a Mega Crate), there is some sweet swag included in the very first package.
The theme for this crate is appropriately Spartan-IV Initiation. As such, the first drop includes gear a new initiate would need. Here’s a rundown of everything included:
- UNSC Data Drop
- Fireteam Apollo Insignia pin
- UNSC utility satchel
- Mister Chief Carabiner plush
- Halo Icons Spartan Warzone Figure
- Spartan-IV Initiation pullover
- Req Pack for download in Halo 5
It’s more than enough gear for any Spartan. While I’m a big fan of the pullover and little plush, the real highlight is the figurine. This will no doubt be the main reason to subscribe to this Loot Crate.
Adopting a Chibi-esque design, the display pieces will be exclusive to the crate. At the moment a total of six figurines are planned out, with all of them being interchangeable between dioramas. Their bases will also connect like puzzle pieces, which means you’ll be able to create a great looking piece if you collect them all. You’ll just have to decide if signing up for a year is worth it to nab all of these models.
This is clearly a crate made specifically for the die-hard Halo fan, and while most gamers will appreciate the figures, the rest of the gear is definitely not for everyone. Will you be signing up for this crate? Does the first drop pique your interest? Are you already subscribed to a different box? Let us know in the comments below!
