The Dinobots Arrive In The First Clip From TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION

It’s been three long years since we last got a taste of Michael Bay’s world of the Transformers, and many wondered how the king of big time action was going to follow-up destroying the majority of Chicago. Well, now we can sort-of find out in the first TV spot for Transformers: Age of Extinction.

Say it with me guys: DINOBOTS!!!! They’re finally making their way to the big screen, and Optimus is riding one! You guys, holy ****. What’s interesting to note from the spot is the lack of massive destruction found in the last two films. There’s destruction of course, but it doesn’t seem like a city’s being taken out for the hell of it. Could this be a smaller, more scaled down Transformers film?

Naaaah. Well, maybe. There’s a lot to ponder while we wait for the first full length trailer that will surely drop soon. But for now, we’ll just have to marvel in the grace of that is Optimus riding Grimlock because… well, we should.

Transformers: Age of Extinction hits theaters on June 27th.

FreshMetal: Absurd, not really. Badass, definitely.

I mean, it would be one thing if he were transforming into a truck to go to, say, Vegas from LA. Quite another if he were riding into battle.

  2. Illusion-XIII says:

You know, I’m not a huge Mark Wahlberg fan, but this is kinda his wheelhouse. His chief facial expression is looking alarmed and slightly pissed as s**t goes down around him, and I’ll take that over the constant man-boy goofiness that was Shia.
Of course, what’s more important than either of those things is whether they’re going to bother having some actual writing in this movie or not.

  3. FreshMetal says:

About Optimus Prime riding on the back of Grimlock, does anyone else find the idea of Optimus Prime riding anything pointless since he can transform into a truck (or any other vehicle he chooses for that matter).

  4. GeekBob says:

But, anyone else notice we’re getting Glavatron too by the looks of it? The giant cannon that blasts Optimus in the back?

  5. Damien says:

The best part of this trailer was no shia labeouf, then they showed Marky Marky and i was back out. Hopefully ten years from now after Michael Bay has driven the franchise into the ground we can get a reboot on cybertron, or at least with a director less focused of explosions and destruction for the sake of explosions and destruction.

  6. Marcus says:

Are people actually excited about this? those movies are terrible.

  7. Fartbooty says:

    Grimlock looks badass!

  8. Hayley says:

This looks terrible, and I will of course go see it in all of it’s Imax 3-D glory.

  9. Lou says:

    AWWWWWWWW YEAH!
    ME GRIMLOCK!
