On June 21, summer begins in earnest. That means soon we’ll have scorching hot weather with which to contend. For those of us who are very indoorsy and/or prone to going from zero to melanoma in about 60Â seconds, that means we’re going to need ways to distract ourselves while we sit in front of the air conditioners all summer long.
Thankfully, there’s a brand new crop of anime on the way, coming hot and fresh out of the pop cultural kitchen that is Japan, and I’m going to help you find the best ones to watch on today’s episode of The Dan Cave.
With returning favorites like Berserk and Food Wars and baffling newcomers like Onara Gorou and Mob Psycho 100, there is no shortage of awesome new anime to wile away the days until the temperatures cool off. And, hey, if global warming keeps going the way that it has been, at least you’ll have a steady stream of excellent new anime titles to keep you occupied as the world edges ever closer to igniting in a fiery ball of negligence and CO2 emissions. Plus, you might even pick up a cool technique or two from these titles to help you survive the end of the world.
