The Cho-Vlog – The Dancing Chobot! Make Your Very Own!

Just a little backstory for what you’re about to see. Those images (a.k.a. thumbnails) that you see on the site for Nerdist News (the ones where I’m usually making some goofy face or holding up two plates o’ shrimp) are shot in front of a green screen and then manipulated in Photoshop.

So, the other day, the crew and I were getting ready to shoot when Geek & Sundry walked in to prep their Twitch station. Part of the prep involved playing some amazingly bad early 2000s “raver” music (the stuff I typically danced to whilst flipping around some glow sticks).

Immediately my 20-something art college student self took over and started flipping about as if the Columbus college days had never come to an end…. all while we were taping.

As my personal dance hall was happening on the Nerdist News stage, the recently uncovered video of a late 80s dancing Jason Statham was discovered by Josh, who (as he rightfully should have), sent it around the office and in doing so, saw the video of me dancing around the news set. Being the bright and creative gent that he is, he made the ultimate mash-up video. So, for your enjoyment, The Ultimate Stath-Bot Music Video Mash-Up!

Now it’s your turn! Think you’ve got what it takes to surpass Josh’s glory?

If so, go here and use the password #jessdance to snag a copy of the original green screen! DO WHAT YOU WILL! Then post your glorious vids to either Twitter (with attention to: @JessicaChobot) and I (and maybe even @NerdistDotCom) will give you a reweet! The only restriction for an RT is that it can’t be overly NSFW.

Can’t wait to see what is in store! I’m getting myself into trouble with this one, aren’t I? LOL!
