The Brienne and Podrick 80s GAME OF THRONES Spin-Off You Need in Your Life is Here

We’ve been saying it for weeks now, but: we cannot get enough of the motley Westerosi crew that is Brienne of Tarth and Podrick Payne, questing it up on the road North to fetch the Stark girls on HBO’s Game of Thrones. The two of them together are a flash of old-timey TV joy in the bumblingest of senses — bringing road-tripping buddy farce to an otherwise pretty un-funny show, all things considered. Thankfully, the Internet loves us all and has brought forth to life a faux-trailer for an 80s take on a Brienne and Podrick spin-off series called, naturally, Bri & Pod. And it is glorious, Blue: absolutely glorious!

Taking each of these actor’s aww-shucksiness and cranking it up to eleven, YouTuber Wade Wilson‘s Bri & Pod opening credit sequence has all the trappings of a truly radtacular 80s experience, man. There are antics, shenanigans, tomfoolery, a pitch-perfect title track, and even a burnt rabbit or two. Still, there’s nothing that these two get up to that cannot be cured by the smile that creeps across Podrick Payne’s face at the end of the whole thing. It is pure 80s sitcom nonsense magic and it is guaranteed to make your day that much better.

So, now the only thing that remains is the Arya and The Hound spin-off that should, naturally, follow suit. (Come on, Internet: let’s hop to it!) What would you call it? Direwolf Straits? The Pup and The Hound? Needlin’ Around? Let us know your title choices in the comments

It should be called “The Fox and the Hound.” Hopefully, no spoilers because that cartoon movie makes me cry every time.
