The Best Entries of the #ZeroGravityContest So Far

Gravity may be a constant, but time to enter our epically awesome #ZeroGravityContest is running out at 9.8 m/s/s! You may be saying, “What Gravity contest are you talking about, Dan?” To which I’d reply, “Ugh, come on, Karen, we’ve been over this. We teamed up with Warner Bros. and director Alfonso Cuarón for a month-long contest in which we ask you, the reader, to submit a video/photo/diorama of what zero gravity means to you.” At that point you may be thinking, “Well, that sounds well and good, but who’s judging it?” But I’m telepathic, so I’d beam the names “Freddie Wong, Matt Mira, Grant Imahara, and Bobak Ferdowsi” directly into your frontal lobe.

Had enough hypotheticals? Me, too. Here’s something that isn’t hypothetical: the winner will be featured on the Nerdist Channel and Nerdist.com, and will receive a one-on-one science experience with Bobak Ferdowsi. The #ZeroGravityContest waits for no man, and fortunately some of you didn’t wait either, so we decided to round up our favorite entries so far. Take a look at the official contest video to refresh your memory then rejoice in their weightless majesty.

Matt Mira may be a judge, but he’s also laid down the gauntlet:

Wow, these are intense. I love the second one and the third is so beautiful. What a great idea, I just found Nerdist and I’m psyched about this – what a cool site. Sorry to self-promote but I have some more nerdy content on my blog “Simply Nerdy” : lifefortheintellectual.blogspot.com
