Whenever I see creatively themed bedrooms for kids, I get jealous. I’m an adult, I’m allowed to experience whatever kind of emotions I want — I think that’s what being an adult means. In the case of this Star Wars room, I’m Greedo-green with envy. Imgur user edmcgowan first shared a photo of his nephew’s Star Wars room a year ago when, like the Death Star II, it was still under construction. Even the bare bones are impressive. A Millennium Falcon cockpit bed with an AT-AT foot? Sign. Me. Up.
The person who posted about the room works at a design studio with his brother, and this is normally the kind of build they do for clients. Why not use those mad skills for your own home though? As of a year ago, they were using mostly found items to construct the cockpit and the build was at about $250. Besides the obvious Star Wars touches, the desk on the side is a wing and the wall next to the cockpit/bed is meant to be a hangar door. It slides open to reveal a window. And because it’s even cooler when stuff is functional, a fan is rigged to blow air into the sleeping area — it can help you get comfortable enough to dream of drifting off into hyperspace.
The entire room:
Who else wants to live on the Millennium Falcon? Barring that, who would be happy living in a room that looks like the Millennium Falcon? As long as I get a Dejarik table, I’m not picky.
