New THE BELKO EXPERIMENT Trailer Will Make You Consider Working From Home

It’s been a few months since we uneasily watched the first glimpse of James Gunn’s new horror film, The Belko Experiment, and this latest look doesn’t have us feeling any less squeamish (and made us at least a little suspicious of our own office-mates). The premise of the movie is very clear in both trailers; coworkers must kill each other at the command of management or suffer the consequences. So, you know, pretty much every job we’ve ever had.

The film seems equally gruesome parts Battle Royale, The Purge, and Office Space with a well-rounded cast (Adria Arjona, Josh Brener, Michael Rooker, Tony Goldwyn, and John Gallagher Jr.) that we’re dying to see pitted against each other. And while both trailers are paced in a way that get our hearts racing and our butts to theedges of our seats until its March release date, we can’t help but think about what we would do if put in a similar situation. Sure, The Belko Experiment is a rather extreme case, but it’s a thought experiment people have debated for years. Do you kill one to save many? Does your direct involvement matter? What if you had to be the one to pull the switch, trigger, or—in the The Belko Experiment‘s case—swing the axe? The real-life data (like in the video below) may surprise you.

Although the situation the characters in The Belko Experiment will go through is fictional, at its core it’s just an exaggerated trolley problem. We’d like to think we’d be logical, or make the right decision, but we don’t know what we’d do if we found ourselves in their shoes and that’s probably why we’re counting down the hours until The Belko Experiment hits theaters March 17th.

What are your thoughts on this gruesome thought experiment? Do you know a good office panic room contractor? Let’s discuss in the comments below!
