THE AVENGERS Battle the X-MEN in Epic Fan-Made Trailer

Captain America: Civil War is currently making all of the world’s money at the box office these days. Next week, on May 27th, X-Men: Apocalypse will be out worldwide and it will start making all of the money. If somehow those two franchises could come together for one massive, monumental, crossover movie it would make money that doesn’t even exist.

If you doubt that pitting Earth’s greatest superheroes of Marvel against the mutant forces of (technically) Fox would be epic, then just watch this incredible fan-made trailer and imagine what could be. It envisions a film where some of the Avengers fight Magneto and his fellow mutants, all while Captain America and Professor X try to save the world from both of them. Go ahead, try to pretend like you wouldn’t lose your damn mind if this were a real movie.

But really, how much would you pay to watch Wolverine fight Hulk? Or to watch Spider-man go one-on-one against Deadpool? The answer is “all the money.”  There’s no fighting it. Although, Iron Man might not want to go up against Magneto. That seems like a particularly unfair mismatch of skills.

We first came across this mega-mash-up trailer at Comic Book Resources, and it is the work of Alex Luthor, who has quite the knack for putting these together. He already imagined a universe crossover with Marvel before, pitting it against DC Comics (which, unlike this new one, has zero chance of ever happening), not to mention his trailer where Captain Kirk takes on Darth Vader.

Considering Deadpool couldn’t even manage to get more than two X-Men in his film, it’ll probably be a long, long time (if ever) before we would see something like this really happen. But hey, we can still dream right? It’s not like movie studios don’t enjoy making money.

Which two combatants from across the two franchises would you most like to see do battle? Tell us your fantasy dream match-up in the comments below.
