The Animated JUSTICE LEAGUE Cast Unites in Amazing LORD OF THE RINGS Crossover

We’ve had a lot of fun on our Alpha series Talkin’ Toons with the voice of Batman Kevin Conroy. But when the whole planet needs saving, you don’t just turn to one caped crusader—you assemble an entire team of superheroes. Of course, when it’s Middle-earth that needs to be protected, what you really need is a fellowship. Or you could have the best of both worlds like we did when we had the entire cast of the animated Justice League recreate a classic scene from The Lord of the Rings.

On our latest episode, host Rob Paulsen welcomed the cast of the beloved cartoon series to our biggest Talkin’ Toons yet. Naturally, we needed a scene worthy of DC’s greatest heroes, and what could be more fitting than having them read the iconic moment from The Fellowship of the Ring when Frodo’s protective force came together? Rob filled in for Frodo, with Kevin Conroy (Batman/Boromir), Susan Eisenberg (Wonder Woman/Elrond), Phil LaMarr (Green Lantern/Gandalf), George Newbern (Superman/Aragorn), Michael Rosenbaum (The Flash/Legolas), and Maria Canals-Barrera (Hawkgirl/Gimli) making up Middle-earth’s mightiest heroes.

We don’t want to oversell it, but hearing Kevin Conroy’s Batman say, “One does not simply walk into Mordor,” was really all we have ever wanted in life. (Well, besides a revival of the animated Justice League. We still definitely want that.)

If you want to watch the rest of this amazing reunion (and believe us you definitely do), you can only catch full episodes of Talkin’ Toons at our online Alpha community, where it is just one of our many great shows. If you’re not already a member, your first 30 days are free when you sign up–no strings, or swords, or bows, or axes attached.

What other team would you love to hear the Justice League fill in for? Tell us in the comments below.
