The 5 Most Intentionally Funny Videos This Week 3/14

EDITOR’S NOTE: Jake Kroeger wrote this week’s column as per usual, but he’s having some computer issues and can’t post it directly. So while the article’s showing up under my byline, it’s Jake’s work. Congratulate/blame/condemn him for this:

As the 2012 election is coming ever so closer and tensions are ramping up with candidates sounding increasingly more unreasonable and divisive in their policies almost just to sound unreasonable and divisive, you probably feel inundated with sound bites, debates, etc. that you wish were for the purpose of comedy. You probably wish that this Rick Santorum tribute song was fake. Well, I can’t do anything to change that, but I’ve picked this week’s 5 Most Intentionally Funny Videos This Week to hopefully make up for pointing out “Game On” to you.

1. Will Ferrell showed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that making fun of the ten words you learned in Spanish 1 in Jr. High is still funny.

2. New York based comedian Mike Lawrence made his late night debut on Conan and included a Ghostbusters reference. Nicely done, sir.

3. In catch you haven’t been catching Key & Peele, watch their fake trailer for one of the best fake thrillers ever, Flicker.

4. Kid Ikarus wanted to collaborate with Reggie Watts on his latest album, but then, he changed his mind

5. Improv Everywhere pulled off pranking a TED Talk. Project Mayhem ain’t got nothin’ on them.
