THE 100 Season 3 Finale Is Going To Rip Your Heart Out (Exclusive Video)

Spoiler alert! The following story contains major spoilers from part one of The 100‘s season three finale.

Warning: The 100 season three finale is going to make sure you have no more tears left to cry by the time the credits roll and the long wait for season four begins.

After leaving pretty much every single character’s fate up in the air by the end of part one of the finale, “Perverse Instantiation,” part two is going to start on an incredibly emotional note. After losing Ontari (Rhiannon Fish) after Jaha (Isaiah Washington) bashed in her skull to prevent Clarke (Eliza Taylor) from being able to put the flame/ALIE 2 into the final Nightblood, Clarke declared her braindead, leaving her with only one shot to de-chip a chipped ALIE slave, and no clear answer as to who that should be. Left alone in the Polis throne room with Ontari’s braindead body and her mother Abby (Paige Turco), who was barely alive after hanging herself on ALIE’s (Erica Cerra) orders, Clarke was an emotional mess, and she had no idea what to do now.

To tide you over, we have your exclusive first look at “Perverse Instantiation — Part Two,” airing this Thursday, and be warned … this particular scene is going to rip out your heart.

When faced with pretty much no good answer, Clarke used the one-use EMP device to destroy the chip in Abby’s brain to bring her mother back to her. When Abby comes to, finally herself again, the emotions running over both Abby and Clarke’s faces as the two women face each other after all the horrifying events of the first half of the finale is truly heart wrenching. Remember, only just a few minutes ago, Clarke was physically tortured by her mother under ALIE’s orders to get the ALIE 2 pass phrase, and when Clarke refused, ALIE forced Abby to hang herself as emotional torture. Of course, that didn’t work on Clarke either, since she knew the good of the world came before her or her mother’s life. Now they both have the memories of Abby hurting both her daughter and herself, and Clarke not doing anything to save her mother from death. Do these two need therapy, or what?!

The 100

But now isn’t the time for tears. Clarke needs Abby’s help, since there are no more Nightbloods to put the flame into. When Bellamy (Bob Morley), Murphy (Richard Harmon) and Pike (Michael Beach) burst into the throne room, guns blazing after fighting their way through chipped Grounders and Skaikru alike, Clarke has to convince them that Abby is back on their side, and Ontari wasn’t an option for the EMP device. So now, they’ve got Abby back on the good side, but they still have no solution to defeating ALIE.

Other character fates currently on the line as we head into part two of the finale: Roan (Zach McGowan) who was last seen shot and dragged away by chipped Grounders Harper (Chelsey Reist), who was knocked out by a chipped Jasper (Devon Bostick) in Arkadia to try and convince Monty (Chris Larkin) and Raven (Lindsey Morgan) to stop trying to use the kill code on ALIE from inside the computer system in their old home. Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) and Indra (Adina Porter), who were both taken out in the explosion in the elevator tunnels below the throne room in Polis. Hell, even Pike himself took some bullets, but at least he’s powering through the pain, accompanying Murphy and Bellamy to the throne room.
