Today marks the final Wednesday of the year, the fifty-second time we will get an influx of new comic books to our friendly local comic book store this year. Looking back over the deluge of delightful comics that came out in 2015, it’s difficult not to get a stupid smile on one’s face. There has been an embarrassment of graphic riches this year and choosing the 10 best comics 0f 2015 was like pulling teeth. After consulting with the Nerdist editorial team and pacing wildly around the office like madmen, we have whittled down the year’s cornucopia of comic delights to ten that impressed us above all others.
In a year that saw massive events like Darkseid War, Book of Death, and Secret Wars, as well as multiple publisher-wide relaunches, we had our pick of the litter. And these, dear reader, are the cream of the crop. Topping the heights comic book creators reached in 2015 will be an unenviable task as we hurtle headlong towards 2016, but I for one cannot wait to see what they have in store.
