Nerdist Special Reports

We Sent Teri Hatcher, a.k.a Lois Lane, to Comic-Con to Find Superman

With so many cosplayers at San Diego Comic-Con it can be hard to know which one is the real Superman, so at this year’s event we got some super help finding him. We turned to the best journalist we could think of, one of the best investigative reporters in Metropolis and someone who knows the Man of Steel better than anyone else, Lois Lane herself, Teri Hatcher. YEAH WE DID.

Leaving behind the world of print journalism to step out in front of the camera, Lois Lane hit the convention center for one of the most important Nerdist Special Reports we’ve ever done. But because he can still get around even the most crowded gathering like a speeding bullet, Clark Kent wasn’t as easy to find as we would have thought. Fortunately plenty of other DC heroes (and a whole bunch of very excited fans) were also in attendance to point her in the right direction.

We’re not sure if this technically counts as cosplay or not since it might be seen as reprising a role, but either way it definitely qualifies as totally freaking awesome. For an entire generation Teri Hatcher, who earlier this year launched her new YouTube channel Hatching Change, is the Lois Lane after playing her on ABC’s Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman for four seasons from 1993 to 1997.

It’s really insane no one asked her to cover Comic-Con until we did.

If you could send the real Lois Lane on any assignment what story would you want her to report on? Tell us in the comments section below.
