Telltale’s THE WALKING DEAD: SEASON 2 Finale Is Out Next Week, Gets a Trailer

***Hey, spoilers ahead if you haven’t played any of this or the first season of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead.***

“All I need to do is not care where I am for 15 minutes.” That’s some haunting stuff right there from second season lead Clementine in Telltale’s The Walking Dead. The adventure game’s current arduous path through the humans and walkers of Georgia comes to a close next week as the developer announces the multiplatform release dates for the fifth episode, “No Going Back.”

And holy crap has Clementine been in it. Following Lee’s death in the first season, this little girl has been roaming the countryside before hooking up with another hapless group of survivors, before ending up in the clutches of another savage community making the worst out of the apocalypse.

The funny thing is, Telltale touched on the idea of evil, Terminus-style communities in the first season with the final two episodes of The Walking Dead. But there, anyone who could be a threat to Lee and the survivors had long since been turned. Season two has pulled the trigger on a full-on collection of no-goodniks who wouldn’t balk at bashing a little girl in the face.

Here’s the synopsis for the final episode, which will be available on the PS3, PS Vita, and PC/Mac August 26, with the Xbox 360 and iOS releases to follow on the 27th and 28th respectively:

“Winter is setting in. Time to find food and shelter is running out. And with a newborn infant to sustain, walkers are a greater threat than ever. As pressure builds and tensions reach breaking point, your choices will decide Clementine’s fate in the gripping conclusion of The Walking Dead: Season Two.”
