Thereâs rarely a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie without their eternal nemesis, the Shredder. Turtles III back in the ’90s didn’t, and that was a major bummer (and not a good movie). This summerâs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is no exception, as the Shredder is making his big screen comeback after his appearance in the 2014 Turtles film. This time, actor and martial artist Brian Tee is taking over the role of Shredder from Tohoru Masamune. And Teeâs Shredder will have a new look.
During the Kidâs Choice Awards, the first image of the new Shredder was revealed, and quickly tweeted out by Tee himself.

The first impression is that this Shredder costume is less busy than the outfit used in the last Turtles movie. Tee will also reportedly portray the Shredder out of costume in Out of the Shadows.
Tee is currently starring in Chicago Med on NBC, but he’s best known for playing the Drift King in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and Liu Kang in Mortal Kombat Legacy.
Out of the Shadows will apparently pay homage to the classic TMNT animated series from the ’80s, with the introduction of Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, Gary Anthony Williams as Bebop, and WWE Superstar Sheamus as Rocksteady, as well as Krang and the Technodrome.
Teenage Mutant Ninja: Out of the Shadows will descend upon theaters on June 3.
