Team USA’s Bocuse d’Or Meat Plate Looks Like a POKEMON Battle

For the first time in the history of the culinary Olympics, Team USA earned their highest spot in the top tier at the Bocuse D’Or. USA! USA! US…they what? They came in second? Oh well, that’s still they best they’ve ever fared.

24 countries compete in the biennial culinary competition and coming in second is no easy feat, but let’s focus on the food. More importantly, let’s focus on Team USA’s meat plate:

Somehow this plate of barrel-oak roasted guinea hen with sausage of guinea leg confit looks more like a futuristic Pokemon arena battle of Meat-Type vs. Meat-Type. It’s an all-out war as small vials of corn mousse and black truffle consommé cheer on the carnivore warriors with glee. We can only hope that this battle to the death will end with a Wake-Up Slap move.

Who to choose in a meat vs. meat combat? I’ll be at the salad bar.

Pikachu v Pikachu
