Taylor Swift Is Getting Her Own Video Game

In today’s edition of “We Swear This is Totally Legit” news, Taylor Swift will soon be getting her very own video game. And because I know some of you “All Too Well” I know that might bother you. Well, “I Wish You Would” just “Shake it Off,” because we don’t want there to be any “Bad Blood” between us.

Glu Partners announced that they have reached a deal with the pop star on a “multi-year partnership to develop and create a new, one-of-a-kind digital gaming experience.” Glu is a “developer and publisher of free-to-play games for smartphone and tablet devices,” and they say they are going to work with Swift to create a game for mobile devices that is designed with “never before seen gameplay elements that utilize Taylor’s unique creativity.”

I have no idea exactly what any of that means either.

Normally I would be skeptical of such an endeavor, but I also never expected to love 1989 as much as I do, so I’m pretty much open to the possibility of the game being amazing. Besides, there are roughly 10 billion “Swifties” on a planet of seven billion people, so it’s probably going to be a massive success no matter what it ends up looking like anyway.

The only real detail beyond any of that is also vague, as Glu says the game will be released “late” in 2016.

Then we can all expect the Ryan Adams version of the game to come out some time in 2017.
