Looking for another character to master in Mortal Kombat X? You won’t be waiting too much longer, because it looks like Tanya is going to be a selectable character within the next few weeks. After a Twitter follower requested news on Tanya, Ed Boon decided to drop a tease-filled rhyme in response:

That Ed Boon is such a joker, isn’t he? Our own Samantha Sofka touched on this a bit in Monday’s Gaming Daily, but I had to ask – does this mean that Tanya will be sporting her Mortal Kombat Decpetion digs as an alternate costume?

Funny thing is, Tanya isn’t necessarily “koming” to Mortal Kombat X, she’s been there, and can be seen frequently in the game’s story mode causing trouble with Mileena. It’s a bit annoying that she’s already been equipped with a full unique move set, which would suggest that she might as well had been playable from the get-go. Perhaps NetherRealm just didn’t have the time to include her as a playable fighter in the game. But if that’s the case, it would’ve been nice if she was offered as a free character.

If you purchased the Kombat Pack that included Jason Vorhees, Predator and Tremor, you should have access to Tanya at no extra charge.
