Does the team over at Telltale Games ever rest? Not only is the release of Minecraft: Story Mode just around the corner, but now the studio has announced that Tales from the Borderlands‘ season finale will debut October 20, on PC/Mac, PS4, and PS3. Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners will be able to nab the episode the following day. The finale is titled “The Vault of the Traveler”, and you can catch a sneak peek of it above.

If you watched the video, then you know the second bit of news. The first episode, Zero Sum, is now free on consoles and mobile platforms. So if you’ve yet to experience the madness of this series, now is the best time to join the fun. Giving away the first episode is a great move to help bring in people who were on the fence about playing these games. Now that all 5 episodes from the season will be readily available, it may turn out to be a fun Halloween marathon for those that would much rather have a laugh than be scared by creepy films.

I’m always impressed by Telltale, because they have proven to be incredibly versatile in their work. They’ve stayed true to the source material with every IP they’ve handled, and though a lot of their big hits have donned a more serious tone, the team was able to make an already funny Borderlands series even more hilarious. I can’t wait to play through the last chapter of the season.
